Hello, my name is Amber Knecht. I’m a mother of five, and live in Highland, Utah. I graduated from BYU just after marrying the love of my life, and have been raising my family and teaching children for…well…decades. I’ve always loved being with and teaching preschoolers. It isn’t for everyone, I know, but I love it! Oh, how I wish I could preschool babies, even!
We had four busy boys in a row, and then were blessed (finally) with a little girl, who is adored by all her older brothers, of course! Our oldest is now serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tijuana, Mexico, and the youngest is almost hitting double digits.
We live in a beautiful Highland neighborhood, in a quiet cul-de-sac next to a park. After four years of house remodeling, we are ready to be done with projects! The most significant of these projects as been the 1000 square foot indoor turf room that now doubles as the kid’s soccer training room and my KidFit Preschool room!!
We are a very active family. Between soccer games, spontaneous road trips, backpacking Utah’s beautiful mountains and slot canyons, and working around the house, we stay plenty busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! Work hard, play hard is more than a saying at the Knecht “homestead,” as my husband calls it. Active learning is something I feel strongly about, and I’m excited to open our home to your little preschoolers this fall!
